The Veterans Education Project (VEP) is honored to be asked to join the other organizations partnering in support of Veteran Suicide Prevention Day activities in Washington D.C. The VEP was founded thirty years ago by Vietnam veterans who wanted to share their personal stories to educate the public in Western New England about the realities and human costs of war. Veterans from WW2 to the current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan now belong to the VEP and speak in high school and college classrooms, public events and social work conferences.
